- Preferences
- Federal/State Tax Forms - Added a new preference group containing Aatrix File Information and Paid Preparer/Designee settings. The Designee information now transfers to Aatrix automatically. The Aatrix File Information preference was moved from the Reports group.
- Backup - Added a Backup User Files section that allows you to automatically display the backup screen when exiting CenterPoint (just as if you selected File > Backup > Backup User Files).
- Security > Password Security Options - Increased maximum allowed selection for Passwords to Remember from 5 to 99.
- Setup
- Names > Custom Name Fields - When a custom name field has a Type of Text and includes a % symbol is changed from the Type of Text to Percentage, the custom name fields with a Type of Percentage will now display correctly.
- Employees > Mass Update > ACA - Added options to add new coverage periods by start month/year and to update the latest period’s Status, Offer, Employee Share, or Section 4980H code for multiple employees.

- Added new functionality to designate qualified overtime earnings (reported in Box 14 for 2025, Box 12, Code TT for 2026) and use the Qualified Overtime Pay report to reconcile 2025 Form W-2, Box 14, or provide to employees as a supplemental report. For detailed information, click here.
- Added new features to mark qualified tips (reported in Box 14 for 2025, Box 12, Code TP for 2026) and assign employee Occupational Codes (reported in Box 14b for 2026). For detailed information, click here.
- Deductions/Benefits
- Limits tab - Added a Stop Deduction When Limit Reached, Start Alternate Deduction option to 401k deduction setup that allows you to designate a Roth deduction for catch-up contributions after the pre-tax contribution limit has been reached. For detailed information, click here.
- General tab > W-2 - Options - Added a new Box 12 - Code TA - Employer contributions under a section 128 Trump account contribution selection that will transfer to Form W-2 in 2026.
- Accounts > Accounts - The Name field has been extended from 30 to 50 characters.
- Processes
- Banking > Bank Reconciliation
- Added the Attachments (paperclip) and Attachments Scanner buttons to easily scan and attach bank statements to reconciliations.
- The Save, Cancel, Statement Balance, Close, and Help buttons are now accessible from any tab.
- Reports
- Payroll Tax Data Reports > Federal Tax Reports > Federal Tax Withheld by Employee (Detail) & Federal Unemployment Tax by Employee (Detail), State & Local Tax Reports > State Unemployment Tax by Employee (Detail). Added detailed versions of tax reports showing data per employee per pay date.
- Payroll Setup Lists > Employee Portal Changes - Added a report that shows accepted modifications made to CenterPoint via the Employee Portal.
- Federal & State Tax Forms & Reports – For the 1095/1094-B or 1095/1095-C forms, added an Include Employees without Current Year Wages checkbox to include covered employees without wages, such as retirees or COBRA participants.
- Fixes
- Setup > Names > Custom Name Fields - When a custom name field has a Type of Text and includes a % symbol is changed from the Type of Text to Percentage, the custom name fields with a Type of Percentage will now display correctly.
- Processes > Pay Employees - Time sheets with simple overtime including frequency-excluded earnings now import successfully after changing the Frequency on the Select Employees tab.

- CenterPoint Data Importer
- Added a Profit Center/Department import type for importing profit centers and departments.
- When the Type of Import is set to Customers, Vendors, or Names, added a Cell Phone field to import cell phone numbers for the default location.

Payroll Web Services
- Employee Portal
- Setup - Fixed an issue where saving an employee before the screen fully loads would uncheck Publish Advices or Time Clock, inadvertently sending an unenrollment email and removing access.
- Reports - When the Employee Portal is active, users can now print all Publish Pay Advices and Time Clock specific reports.
- Improved communication efficiency between CenterPoint and Payroll Web Services to help prevent intermittent connection issues.
- When an additional service is added to the Employee Portal, it is now automatically recognized without requiring manual configuration.
- Optimized the synchronization process to prevent syncing errors.

Payroll Web Services
- Consolidated Employee Portal – The new consolidated Employee Portal menu allows you easy single-point access to all your payroll web services settings (CenterPoint Time Clock, Publish Pay Advices, and Employee Portal). In addition, a reorganized Portal tab in employee setup simplifies adding employees.
- Publish Pay Advices - Employees without direct deposit can now enroll to view their pay advices online.
General Payroll
- Quick List - The number of tasks in a grouping will now display in the Past Due, Due Today, Due This Week, and Due Later group headers.
- File
- Preferences
- General > File Attachments - Improved the efficiency of transferring all attachments to a repository from a large database.
- Added a Search feature which allows users to find preference settings easier.
- Exports > Generic Retirement Export - Added five additional Fixed Text columns to the report.
- Setup
- Employees - Leave balance records for a new year will no longer be created by editing an employee, unless leave data is changed.
- Employers - Added an Employer menu selection to the main Setup menu.
- Names > Payment Terms - When the Payment Term Type is Due on Day of Month, new month selections allow you to set up quarterly, annual, or custom payment terms.
- Employees and Names > Names - The Additional Notes button will now display as a Notes icon at the bottom of the screen. This icon is accessible from any tab, allowing notes to be entered easily no matter where in the setup they occur. The icon will display with a yellow background when notes are added

- Deductions & Benefits
- Added a Retirement Plan - Roth deduction Type which is by default taxable (after tax) for the employee deduction and not taxable for the employer benefit.
- Added a new "The tax setup for this deduction/benefit has been reviewed and verified" check box that must be selected before a deduction can be saved.
- Earnings, Deductions/Benefits, Worker Compensations Classes, and Local Taxes - When an item is changed and saved, new functionality will allow you to determine if you want to also update your employer(s) with this change.
- Processes
- Pay Employees - Frequencies can now be used to control which earnings are included in a payroll, expanding the Deduction & Benefit Frequency functionality to include earnings as well.
- Pay Invoices Due
- You can now change the due date of an unpaid payroll liability due date by right-clicking on an a row expanded to the invoice level and selecting Change Due Date.
- Added a Display All Invoices option that allows you to see all unpaid invoices rather than only those with certain invoice dates or due date. The last used Find By option will display when the Pay Invoices Due screen is opened.
- Banking > Positive Pay Issue Files - The vendor's Pay To Contact Name will now be included in the positive pay file if the Print Contact on Forms check box is selected for a vendor.
- Reports
- Federal & State Payroll Forms & Reports > Federal Tax Forms - From the Reports box, you can now determine which federal reports are your most often used and add them to a Favorites section at the top of the Report List.
- When using the Report Selection Filters, the selected report will now display in a blue highlight, and the name will appear above the Report Selection Filters.
- Preview > Columns tab - Added a Header Override that allows you to change the column heading label for a column generated based on the data represented in the column, for example period column names on Income Statements and Balance Sheets.
- Fixes
- Help > Online Updates > Check For Online Updates - Resolved an issue that prevented online updates from displaying correctly.
- Setup > Payroll Details > Deductions & Benefits – Deductions/benefits are now added successfully when you choose to update your employer(s).
- Reports > Payroll Setup Lists > Earnings > Earnings - The report will now display the correct information in the Type and Method columns.
- Payroll Liabilities - When the File > Preferences > Payroll > General > General Ledger Posting preference is set to post in Summary and Medicare and Social Security liabilities are posting to the same account, the liability payments will now be recorded correctly.
