Enter the Transaction Date

CenterPoint offers great flexibility in date entry. You can enter the date in any of the following ways. The system will assume the month and year are the same as the workstation date unless otherwise specified.

Click, Press or Enter	To
Tab	Display Today's date in the Date entry box.
	Display a calendar where you can select the transaction date. Use the arrow keys at the top of the calendar to change the month and year. To select today's date as the transaction date, click Today.
F4	Display a calendar where you can select the transaction date. Use the arrow keys at the top of the calendar to change the month and year. To select today's date as the transaction date, click Today.
October2810	Display 10/28/10 in the Date entry box.
oct2810	Display 10//28/10 in the Date entry box.
October28	If the workstation year is 2010, CenterPoint will display 10/28/10 in the Date entry box. The year will default to the year in the workstation date.
oct28	If the workstation year is 2010, CenterPoint will display 10/28/2010 in the Date entry box.
28	If the workstation month is 10 and the workstation year is 2010, CenterPoint will display 10/28/10 in the Date entry box. The year and month will default to the year and month in the workstation date.
102810	Display 10/28/10 in the Date entry box.
1028	If the workstation year is 2010, CenterPoint will display 10/28/2010 in the Date entry box.
