Attempting to use the API to enter a customer deposit into Center Point. Received the following message "The date for the transaction is in a closed period. You can not save a transaction to a closed period". I verified that the Center Point instance Lock Periods were set to Open All Periods. I set the transactiondate, duedate, and discountdate to today's date. Please advise on moving beyond this error.

I believe that there are two ways to get this message:

1. The date is in a closed period
2. The date falls outside any period in the CenterPoint database

What I'd suggest is going into CenterPoint and trying to enter the same deposit - you don't even have to save it, just enter today's date in the date field. That will either create the period or give you a message.

In the meantime, I'll do some research with people who know more about transactions.
