Red Wing Software Releases CenterPoint Version 16
|

New Employee Portal, Simple Overtime, Item Price Lookup and Improved Reports
|

Red Wing, MN –May 26, 2021–Red Wing Software has released CenterPoint version 16 for all CenterPoint Accounting and Payroll products. A new Employee Portal is available for CenterPoint Payroll, which makes all payroll web services available to employees in one place. A new simple overtime, Item Price Lookup screen, improved reports, as well as 90+ improvements are also included in version 16.

A new Employee Portal provides employees a simple way to view and interact with payroll and company information.

Employees can open and launch CenterPoint Time Clock and Publish Pay Advices within the Portal, making access to those services seamless. |

Payroll information, company announcements, or other information can be added to the Home section and edited at any time by the payroll administrator, making it easier for employees to stay up to date on important company information. |

Employees can view and update their personal information, Federal and State Withholding, and direct deposit allocation information from the Self-Serve section. Before creating a new pay run or updating employee setup, the payroll administrator is notified of any pending changes and can either approve or deny them, making payroll communication between employees and payroll administrators very efficient. |

On the Quick Links section, payroll administrators can create useful links for employees to any external website or file. This section can be used to communicate company policies or for providing benefit information such as health and dental insurance, flexible spending, IRS, 401K, etc. |

The Employee Portal is available free to customers currently using any payroll web service, including CenterPoint Publish Pay Advices or CenterPoint Time Clock. Other customers can purchase the module for $120 per year.

A new and easy-to-use simple overtime calculator is available within CenterPoint Payroll for those who don’t require the wide range of overtime calculations available in CenterPoint. The new simple overtime calculator works great for those who pay overtime at a single overtime rate past an hours threshold. Simple overtime is easier to set up and is easier for employees to understand on their pay stubs/advices.

A new Item Price Lookup screen is now available, which allows customers to access calculated prices based on price level, location, quantity and unit of measure, for customers using CenterPoint Business Accounting software, or CenterPoint Accounting for Agriculture customers who use the Advanced A/R module. Additionally, for customers who use the Inventory module, the following information can easily be pulled up: Sales Price, Quantity on Hand, Quantity Assigned (on an unfilled sales order), Quantity Available, Quantity on Order (on a purchase order but not yet received), and Unit of Measure.

Within the CenterPoint Accounting products and CenterPoint Payroll, several new reports have been added, and existing reports have been improved with new columns and filters where needed.
