After attending this session, you will be able to:

  • Understand CenterPoint Payroll leave terminology.
  • Create paid leave earnings used to track the number of hours used for each type of leave.
  • Define how often leave is awarded to your employees, when it is awarded, if there is a wait period and if it can be carried over from one year to another.
  • Create leave tables that define how much leave should be calculated for each employee based on the leave category and the employee's number of years of service.
  • Assign leave specifics to your employees.
  • Calculate beginning leave balances and adjust for hours already used. Record beginning leave balances available to employees.
  • Calculate and award paid leave to employees.
  • Record used leave hours.
  • Adjust individual employee leave.
  • Adjust leave calculations for vacation, sick time, and other paid time off for multiple employees at one time.
  • Understand special leave scenarios, for example, sick leave based on a rate per hour.
