After attending this session, you will be able to:

• Set inventory preferences.
• Create Item Custom Name fields used for tracking additional information about your sales items and define the number price levels and titles of each level.
• Setup the various types of inventory – regular sales items, non-tracked inventory items, service items, service items with labor costs, serialized items.
• Add additional inventory item information that defines the default general ledger account, units of measurement used for purchasing and selling the item, purchasing information, and item custom fields.
• Understand item pricing; fixed pricing with and without quantity breaks, price matrix per item, per unit of measurement, per location, or per location/unit of measurement.
• Define information tracked for lotted or serialized inventory items on a sales item or while purchasing or adjusting inventory.
• Enter beginning balances for inventory.
• Enter a vendor invoice for inventory items and inventory items with quantities and unit costs.
• Enter an unpaid sales invoice for inventory items.
• Adjust inventory cost without changing quantities and adjust the quantity on hand for a sales item.
• Modify the quantity on hand for one or more sales items at the same time.
• Distribute freight cost by a percentage of cost or weight.
• Conduct a physical inventory.
