COVID-19 Pandemic: How can Red Wing Software Help You?

Below we have outlined some of the ways we can continue to help in these uncertain times.
Working from Home – Red Wing Cloud Services
If you and/or your employees need to work from home, and you are using a CenterPoint product, Red Wing Software Cloud Services are available to you. We understand that moving to the cloud may be temporary during the pandemic. While there is a charge for the hosting service, our staff will help you move to the hosted service at no additional charge. Then when/if you’re ready to move back to the locally installed platform, we will help you, also at no additional cost. Please note that the program is exactly the same whether it is used in the cloud or installed. As for Red Wing Software, all employees are equipped to work from home and are currently doing so. This has enabled us to provide uninterrupted service to customers while staying within safety guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Other Features and Products
Here are some other features already included within CenterPoint, as well as add-on products, that can help with social distancing, and reducing the need to handle paper.
Email Statements and Invoices
Rather than printing and mailing or handing someone an invoice or a statement, set up your system to have them emailed instead. (This functionality is included in all CenterPoint accounting products.)
CenterPoint Online Time Clock
For use with CenterPoint Payroll, it enables employees and supervisors to enter time online and request time-off from any web-enabled device where the internet is available. Time entry and time off requests can be made from a personal computer or mobile device.
Direct Deposit
Securely deposit your employees’ payroll to their personal bank accounts, eliminating the need for printed checks.
Publish Pay Advices
Employees who receive direct deposit can view an electronic statement of their pay, on a secure website, eliminating the need for paper advices to be distributed.

I hope this newsletter finds everyone healthy and safe during this COVID-19 pandemic. At Red Wing Software, we are fortunate to be in a business that can adapt quickly to changes. All our amazing and dedicated employees are working remotely. We were able to get everyone up and running at home in a short amount of time, without any interruption of service for our customers. The only services that we are temporarily suspending are our face-to-face classroom training and professional services. We encourage anyone needing more instruction and training, when a quick call to support isn’t enough, to request online help. We are very effective at providing training online using our remote software tools.
We are here to help, and elsewhere in this newsletter is an article that describes some of the built-in tools and options available in our software that can help our customers work remotely and more efficiently. Now would be a good time to evaluate the processes that you have in place for dealing with adverse situations or disaster recovery. While these recent changes that were forced upon you are fresh in your mind, refine your plans for dealing with similar situations in the future. We will do what we can to help your business get through this time with as little interruption as possible. Stay safe, and we will get through this together.

We are pleased to offer our Red Wing Software customers an opportunity to learn more about CenterPoint via Online Training sessions. Online Training sessions provide you with in-depth information and explanations that allow you to learn more about CenterPoint from any location where you can access the internet (high-speed internet connection recommended). The sessions are presented live by one of our CenterPoint experts while you view the presenter's computer screen. You will have the opportunity to ask questions. The sessions are recorded and sent to you so you can refer to the information afterward.

This gives you the flexibility to access the training at any point after the original live session was offered. Red Wing Software is looking for an energetic professional to join our Accounting Software Support team. Since 1979, Red Wing Software has provided excellent support to its nationwide base of software customers. The Accounting Software Support Specialist will help carry on the legacy by providing excellent support and training to end users of Red Wing Software accounting and payroll software products. You’ll be talking to people from businesses, nonprofits, agri-businesses, municipal organizations, and more. No day is ever the same. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve problems that are received through the software support help desk. Help customers install and/or troubleshoot installations. Promptly respond to customer requests for assistance and answer questions regarding proper usage of Red Wing Software products. Assistance is done primarily over the phone from the Red Wing, MN location. Testing of new software and software updates are done in conjunction with the QA department.
